The improvement of the old Bluebell Woods land at Camphill Avenue  is now almost complete. After public discussions, the grant from  Glasgow City Council Langside Area Committee was spent on improving paths, installing 4 new lights to increase safety  and planting of 30 semi-mature native trees to begin the restoration  of the woodland. The planting was carried out by Michael Lee of  Aspen  Trees, a Battlefield based firm, on 10^th February . He reported  that “the feedback we got from people passing today was very positive regarding the trees”. Later in 2011 some more bluebell bulbs will be planted to add to the existing and slowly spreading display.  Photos of the new planting are below.
